Important Guidelines:

Patient should be physically present in the hospital premises at the time of admission

To facilitate the process of Registration/Admission/Charity/Mediclaim, please ensure to carry patients ID proof(Adhar card, Pan card, Voting card, Driving license, Passport)

Patients are advised not to keep any valuables, jewellery or other costly items with them during their stay at the Hospital.

You can ask for room service for- a. Pharmacy b.Diet c. WiFi

Please do not Smoke or Spit in the Hospital premises.

Please remember that the total cost of Treatment/Procedure will vary as per your ward/room

No room booking service - rooms and hospital can not be booked in advance as exact discharge time of admitted patients can not be predicted and admission cant not be denied to any patients needing treatment

Admission Procedure

On admission to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, you will be required to do the following:

  1. Confirm the room type which you will be staying in. All charges are based on a standard room, so please note your total bill may change in accordance to this.
  2. You will be asked to complete an ‘Admission Form’ and verify who will be responsible for your medical expenses.
  3. You will now be escorted to your room by one of the hospital porters.
  4. Once you arrive, a nurse or coordinator will explain about the facilities in your room and you will be asked to make a preference for your meals (meals are not compulsory in the hospital, you can bring meals from outside.).
  5. The nurse will ask you to change your clothes into the hospital pyjamas and your temperature and blood pressure will be checked.
  6. Additionally, if you need to undergo any minor or major surgery, you will be asked to sign Consent form in order to give permission to the Hospital to proceed.
  7. If you have any questions at this point, please do not hesitate to ask our nurse or request for a coordinator.

Insurance Claim Process

When claiming from your insurance company there are many documents that need to be submitted. As an additional service to our patients, we will process your claim for you, provided you give us the necessary documents:

  • Copy of your Insurance Document
  • Policy number
  • Insurance Claim Form (if you have one)

We usually proceed as follows:

  1. A member of staff will make a copy of the documents mentioned above. At this point, if you have any other documentation that may be relevant, please let our staff make a copy of this. Please make sure your insurance pass is still valid!
  2. A detailed medical report with the treatment plan will be faxed with all other documents to your insurance.
  3. Now it is up to your insurance company to consider the coverage of the treatment expenses in accordance with your insurance policy.
  4. Even if the insurance company has verbally informed you that it will pay for your expenses, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital needs an official guarantee of payment from the insurance. This document states if the insurance will cover and if so, how much and until when. If this is not received during your time of admission, you will be responsible to pay for your treatment.
  5. Upon discharge, you will be required to sign the bill and pay for any additional, non medical expenses, according to your insurance policy.

Important note:

      Please note that most insurance companies need at least 2 working days to evaluate and proceed. If the Hospital has not received the guarantee of payment from your insurance company, and you are ready to be discharged, you will be asked to pay the expenses and claim back the amount from you insurance directly. We will provide you with all the documents so that you can claim the amount back from your insurance directly.
