SCOPE OF THE DEPARTMENT:

Rehabilitation services are provided by Physiotherapist to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. The service are provided in circumstances where movement and function are affected by ageing , injury, pain, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors and with the understanding the functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy.
Services are offered to patients of all age groups.

Hip Total Hip replacement (THR), Dynamic Hip Screw Fixation (DHS) Hip related problem.
Knee Total Knee Replacement , Ligament, Meniscal Repair, fractures   Pre-op Knee exercises programme, Ligament strains / sprains, Patellar laxity
Shoulder Shoulder Replacement, Cuff Repair Frozen shoulder, Cuff Tendonitis, fractures
All other Joints : Ankle, Elbow, Wrist Open Reduction Internal Fixation(ORIF), Closed Reduction Internal Fixation (CRIF), Ligament Repair, Nailing,Tension Band Wiring (TBW) Sprain, strain, “overuse” injuries fractures.
Cardiac Angiography,Angioplasty & CABG (Cardiac Rehab Program for those who have had a myocardial infarction, bypass or angiography to suit each patient individually. Primary & Secondary Prevention Program – for those who are at a risk for heart diseases eg. Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Diabetes or a family history of heart disease  
Medicine - Patients with, Stroke ILD, COPD, Asthma, Post TB etc for 6 min. walk test and Pulmonary Rehab according to individual patients. Geriatric or prolonged Bed ridden patients

Physiotherapy Department provides OPD & IPD patient service. Physiotherapy Department function from 09:30am to 06:30pm.
