Training program for therapists for mangement of Cerebral Palsy.

The Pediatric Neurology Department is planning a workshop for physical and occupational therapists. The main objective of this is to train therapists in basics of Cerebral Palsy and update them about newer trends in therapies and multidisciplinary approach.

This is a part of ongoing series of workshops which is going to be held at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital. Long term aim of this series is to have an extended network of Pediatric therapists as an out reach program, in order to improve the standards of treatment delivery to children with Cerebral Palsy.

Workshop Content

  1. Philosophy and Principles in NDT in treatment of CP and other sensory motor impairment.
  2. Evaluation of Cerebral Palsy using ICF model.
  3. Learn to differentiate between different types of CP.
  4. Learn to define functional goal & prioritizing impairments. ( Demonstration & practicum).
