SCOPE OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Shoulder and Sports Injuries is one of its kind Department in any tertiary referral centre in India. Arguably the largest stand alone Shoulder & Sport s injury department in India. Although the mainstay of the department is Shoulder & knee injuries and related conditions, the department also offers tertiary care for Elbow, Hip, Ankle and wrist problems. The department has a serious commitment to research and currently has eight research projects ongoing after approval of the ethics committee of DMH. The Department has one seat for F.N.B. ( Fellowship of the National Board ) starting 2017 – 2018. Our department offers fellowships & observership for 3 months and 6 months respectively.
The Department has its own Diagnostic Ultrasonography machine.

It also has its independent Physiotherapy setup for attending to the patients who require physiotherapy.
