The department of surgery is a recognized Post Graduate teaching centre for surgery by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
It is also recognized by MUHS for the Fellowships In Laparoscopic Surgery.
Educational Activities
Post Graduate Pre-Exam workshop (Mock Examination) is conducted every year for the General Surgery students (DNB as well as MS). This is a three-day workshop, which has been arranged since last 6 years and helps the students before they appear for final practical examination. For this course, invited examiners are experienced examiners who has conducted DNB examinations.
Basic Skill Course in Laparoscopic Surgery – Three-days course that is conducted twice a year.This is an intensive practical skills course with opportunity to practice using high quality laparoscopic equipment on bench-top models specifically designed for the course as well as animal tissue.
